About the Bay Frog Open
More than just the sum of its parts, the Bay Frog Open is about awareness, patriotism, community, and fun.
Join us each summer for the swim in June and the golf and dinner in July, where you can meet Navy SEALs and other VIPs—including special operations veterans and former NHL superstars. You’ll be part of an event with purpose as we raise funds to remove barriers—so military, veterans, first responders, and their families can get the support they need and find steady footing again.
Proceeds benefit Uncommon Grit SEAL Foundation
Founded in 2020, Uncommon Grit SEAL Foundation exists to remove barriers to healing, stability, and connection—so the people who serve can heal, rebuild, and belong at home, at work, and in their communities.
Through our programs and partnerships, we help fund critical support that can include mental health and trauma care, hardship assistance, family stabilization, and community-based resources that strengthen day-to-day life for military, veterans, first responders, and the people who love them.
Your support fuels tangible help—and it sends a clear message: you’re not doing this alone.
Erie Chapter + Local Impact
The Bay Frog Open benefits Uncommon Grit SEAL Foundation – Erie Chapter, formed to create a strong presence in the region and keep support moving where it’s needed most in Northwestern Pennsylvania.
The Erie Chapter allows us to stay close to the community—partnering with local organizations, responding faster when needs arise, and helping individuals and families access care, resources, and real support.
A portion of event proceeds stays right here in Northwestern Pennsylvania, supporting vetted nonprofit partners and providing direct assistance when a need is urgent and the gap is immediate.
For 2026, fundraising will directly benefit select veteran and first responder initiatives, including the Hometown Heroes program. We’ll also help fund a special songwriting session with our partner Operation Song, pairing a local veteran with a professional songwriter to help share their story through music.
